The YMCA Lose-to-Win Fitness Challenge with WHMP's Team Tupelo

Hampshire Regional YMCA
is pleased to help WHMP’s well-known radio personalities Chris Collins, Jaz Tupelo, and Bill Dwight by losing a combined weight of 150 pounds in six months! With customized fitness programs designed by YMCA personal trainers and full access to the Y’s comprehensive, state-of-the-art fitness and circuit training equipment, yoga, aerobic, and Y-cycle classes – these three crusaders will run, stretch, spin and lift their way to a healthier, happier, and longer life. Stay tuned to this web site as we follow their progress every step of the way.

To begin, begin. On April 6th 2009, WHMP's Team Tupelo came into the Y to take the first step on their fitness journey; the fitness assessment. Whether you’re serious about starting a fitness program or still mulling it over, our comprehensive fitness assessments help gauge where and how to begin safely. It takes about an hour and is completely confidential.

  • Body Fat Percentage
  • Blood Pressure
  • Cardio Fitness
  • Muscular Strength and Endurance
  • Flexibility

Fitness assessments are available to Y members for a
